The SSSS Structure

Member Enrollment

A Rotary member of District 3050 enrolls by submitting the application form and paying the one-time enrollment fee along with periodic contributions.

Corpus Fund Pool

All contributions are pooled into a centrally managed corpus fund, governed by the Board of Trustees and invested in safe, regulated instruments.

Claim & Disbursement

When a qualifying event occurs, the member or nominee submits a claim. The executive committee reviews and disburses benefits within 7 working days.

Rotary International District 3050 covers the state of Tamil Nadu and the Union Territory of Pondicherry in South India. It is one of the most active Rotary districts in India, comprising over 150 clubs and thousands of dedicated Rotarians.

The District is guided by the Rotary motto "Service Above Self" and carries out impactful projects in health, education, environment, water, and community development across the region.

2000

Foundation of SSSS

The Super Social Security Scheme was conceptualised and founded by a group of visionary Rotarians in District 3050, with an initial corpus of ₹5 lakhs and 120 enrolled members.

2005

First Major Disbursement

SSSS made its first major benefit disbursement of ₹2 lakhs to the family of a deceased member — proving the scheme's effectiveness and building trust across the district.

2010

Expansion to 1,000 Members

The scheme crossed 1,000 enrolled members, with the corpus growing to ₹1 crore. Education grants were introduced as a new benefit category.

2015

Digital Transformation

SSSS digitised its member records, claim processing, and financial reporting — reducing claim settlement time from 30 days to 7 days.

2020

COVID-19 Emergency Fund

During the pandemic, SSSS activated an Emergency Welfare Fund disbursing over ₹1.2 crore to 240 affected member families across the district.

2026 — Today

5,000+ Members & Growing

With over 5,000 active members, ₹10+ crore disbursed, and a robust governance framework, SSSS continues to grow as District 3050's premier welfare institution.
